Before starting Semrod Capital Management in March of 2019, Chris spent an extensive amount of his career working on Wall Street. Chris spent 4 years working for Merrill Lynch in their Santa Fe Office, and 2 years as the Director for Strategic Wealth Planning, running their Denver Office. Prior to working on the Retail side, Chris spent 10 years with Keefe, Bruyette and Woods (KBW), starting their San Francisco office in 2001. Chris’s responsibilities at KBW was covering pension funds, hedge funds and mutual fund managers on the West Coast of the United States. Chris also ran Redwood Creek Capital from 2005-2009. Redwood Creek Capital was a long/short fund for high net-worth individuals.

Chris earned a BA from The University of Denver in Psychology/Political Science.

Outside of the office, Chris is an avid skier, runner, tennis player, golfer, fisherman, and mountain climber.
